A warm and nostalgic banana bread made with brown butter and chocolate chips, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/2 cup brown butter, cooled
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas with the brown butter until smooth.
- Add the granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract; mix until well combined.
- Stir in the baking soda and salt.
- Gradually add the flour, mixing until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 55-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For best flavor, use very ripe bananas with brown speckles. Consider adding nuts for extra texture.
