Delightful breakfast pigs in a blanket made with cinnamon rolls and sausage for a fun and satisfying start to your day.
Ingredients
- 1 (8 count) tube Pillsbury refrigerated cinnamon rolls (original icing)
- 8 frozen fully cooked sausage links (thawed)
- Syrup for serving (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Open the tube of cinnamon rolls and set the icing aside for later use.
- Slightly smash each cinnamon roll just enough to create a small blanket for the thawed sausage links.
- Place one piece of sausage on top of each cinnamon roll; then wrap the dough around to enclose the sausage fully. Pinch the seams closed and place seam side down on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the dough is cooked through and golden brown on top.
- Allow to cool for a few minutes, and then drizzle with the reserved icing.
Notes
Timing is crucial; keep an eye on the oven while baking. Cooling slightly before applying the icing prevents it from melting into the rolls.
