Ingredients

  • 250 grams Feta cheese
  • 3 Tomatoes diced
  • 1 Green pepper diced (banana/ Florina pepper)
  • 1 Small green chili sliced (sub with chili flakes; see notes)
  • 3 Garlic cloves minced
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) Oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) Paprika
  • 150 grams Kasseri cheese grated (sub with kefalograviera, gouda, or pecorino)


Instructions

  1. Set your oven to 180°C (with fan).
  2. Scatter half of the diced tomatoes uniformly in a small oven-safe dish.
  3. Break apart the feta cheese and distribute it over the tomatoes, then add the diced green pepper, sliced chili, minced garlic, oregano, and paprika in layers.
  4. Layer the rest of the tomatoes on top, then evenly distribute the grated kasseri cheese over everything.
  5. Place in the oven and cook for 30 to 45 minutes without covering, until the cheese is golden and bubbly.
  6. Allow it to sit for 10 minutes before serving so the cheese can firm up a bit.
  7. Serve it warm alongside some crusty bread and savor the flavors!
