Ingredients
- 1 can (16 oz) buttermilk biscuits, halved
- 1 lb ground sausage
- 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 2 1/2 cups whole milk
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and lightly grease a 9×13 casserole dish with non-stick spray.
- Arrange half of the biscuit halves in the dish and bake for about 10 minutes until lightly golden.
- In a large skillet, cook the ground sausage over medium heat until browned and crumbly.
- Sprinkle in the flour and stir for 2-3 minutes to develop the flavors.
- Slowly whisk in the milk, salt, and black pepper. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer until thickened.
- Pour the sausage gravy over the baked biscuits.
- Place the remaining biscuit halves on top.
