Description

A nostalgic dessert featuring a moist white cake soaked in strawberry goodness, topped with whipped cream and fresh strawberries, perfect for summer gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 15.25 oz box of white cake mix (plus ingredients to prepare)
  • 3 egg whites
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 14 oz sweetened condensed milk
  • 3/4 cups white chocolate chips
  • 1 package (3 oz) JELL-O strawberry flavor gelatin
  • 1/4 cup warm water
  • 2 cans (21 oz each) strawberry pie filling
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream (full fat and cold)
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 10-15 fresh strawberries (sliced)


Instructions

  1. Prepare the white cake by following instructions on the box. Mix the cake ingredients until well-combined and smooth. Bake in the preheated oven for the specified time.
  2. In another bowl, mix sweetened condensed milk with white chocolate chips until smooth.
  3. Let the baked cake cool for about 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack and poke holes in it with a fork.
  4. Dissolve the strawberry gelatin in 1/4 cup warm water and pour it evenly over the cake.
  5. In a chilled mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Gradually add sugar and vanilla while whipping until stiff peaks form.
  6. Top the cake with strawberry pie filling, layer on whipped cream, and garnish with fresh sliced strawberries. Refrigerate for at least an hour before serving.

Notes

Let the cake cool completely before applying any fillings to prevent melting. Use fresh strawberries for garnishing.
