Ingredients
- Wonton wrappers (store-bought or homemade)
- Ground meat (chicken or pork)
- Shrimp (optional, minced)
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1-inch piece of ginger (minced)
- 2 green onions (chopped finely)
- 2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
- 4 cups chicken or vegetable broth
- Vegetables (bok choy, carrots or seasonal produce)
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
Instructions
- Prepare the wonton filling by mixing the ground meat, minced shrimp (if using), garlic, ginger, green onions, soy sauce, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl.
- Place a small amount of filling in the center of a wonton wrapper.
- Wet the edges of the wrapper with water, fold it over, and seal tightly.
- In a separate pot, bring the broth to a rolling boil.
- Add the wontons to the boiling broth and cook until they float to the surface.
- Add your choice of vegetables to the broth and cook until tender.
