Description

Irresistibly gooey and crispy chocolate chip cookies that bring warmth and joy to every bite.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/3 cups (170g) all-purpose flour, spooned and leveled
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 3/4 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/2 cup (112g) unsalted butter, melted and cooled
  • 1/2 cup (100g) light brown sugar, packed
  • 1/3 cup (70g) granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 1/2 cups (250g) semisweet chocolate chips
  • Flaky sea salt for topping


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and kosher salt.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the melted and cooled unsalted butter, light brown sugar, and granulated sugar until paste-like.
  4. Add the egg and vanilla extract, whisking until smooth.
  5. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients using a rubber spatula, folding in the chocolate chips.
  6. Use a large cookie scoop to portion out dough on the baking sheet. Bake for 12-15 minutes.
  7. Let cool on a rack before serving, optionally topping with extra chocolate chips and flaky sea salt.

Notes

For the perfect texture, do not over-mix the dough. Refrigerate the dough for an hour for enhanced flavor.
