Description

A quick and nutritious beef with broccoli stir-fry that embodies heartwarming meals shared with loved ones, featuring tender beef and vibrant broccoli in a savory sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound beef (sliced thinly)
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon ginger (minced)
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked rice (for serving)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the sliced beef with soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch. Let it marinate for about 15 minutes.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry until browned, about 3-5 minutes. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of vegetable oil, then stir in the minced garlic and ginger. Cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add the broccoli florets and a splash of water, then cover the skillet to steam the broccoli for 2-3 minutes until tender yet crisp.
  5. Return the beef to the skillet, stir to combine with the broccoli, and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Serve hot over cooked rice.

Notes

For best results, let the marinated beef come to room temperature before cooking. Avoid overcrowding the skillet for a great sear.
