Description

A delicious and comforting dish featuring tender beef, fresh vegetables, and chewy noodles stir-fried together with a flavorful sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 8 oz fresh wheat noodles
  • 1 red bell pepper, julienned
  • 1 green bell pepper, julienned
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 3 green onions, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cornstarch

Instructions

  1. Cook the fresh wheat noodles according to package directions until al dente. Drain and toss with a little oil to prevent sticking.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, brown sugar, and cornstarch until smooth. Set the mixture aside.
  3. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a large pan or wok over high heat. Add the sliced beef and cook for 2-3 minutes until browned and caramelized. Remove the beef and set aside.
  4. Add the remaining oil to the same pan. Stir-fry the bell peppers, onion, and garlic for 2-3 minutes until the vegetables are crisp-tender and fragrant.
  5. Return the beef to the pan, add the cooked noodles and the sauce mixture. Toss everything together for 1-2 minutes until well coated and heated through.
  6. Garnish with chopped green onions and serve immediately.

Notes

For added flavor, consider incorporating other vegetables like broccoli or snap peas.
