Description

A quick and flavorful beef and broccoli stir fry that brings the essence of home cooking to your table.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound beef (sirloin or flank steak, thinly sliced)
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked rice (for serving)


Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, sesame oil, and beef broth. Mix well and set aside.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat. Add the sliced beef and stir-fry until browned. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same pan, add the remaining tablespoon of oil and stir-fry the minced garlic and broccoli for 2-3 minutes until the broccoli is tender-crisp.
  4. Return the beef to the pan and pour in the sauce mixture. Stir well to coat the beef and broccoli. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce is thickened.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot over rice.

Notes

Prep ahead by cutting meat and vegetables for a smoother cooking process. Serve with sesame seeds or green onions on top for added appeal.
