Description

A classic dish combining tender beef slices with crisp broccoli in a savory sauce, perfect for busy weeknights or family gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine beef with soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch. Let it marinate for 15 minutes.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a large skillet over high heat. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry until browned, about 2-3 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the remaining oil, garlic, and ginger, stirring for about 30 seconds.
  4. Add broccoli and a splash of water, cooking until tender-crisp, approximately 3-4 minutes.
  5. Return the beef to the skillet, mix well, and cook for another 2-3 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Serve hot over rice or noodles.

Notes

Feel free to add other veggies like bell peppers or carrots for more color and nutrition. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days.
