Description

Delightful chocolate chip cookies that bring joy and nostalgia with every bite.

Ingredients

  • 100 grams unsalted butter
  • 150 grams light brown sugar
  • 1 medium egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 200 grams flour
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 100 grams chocolate chips
  • Extra chocolate chips for decoration

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 170°C (340°F).
  2. In a bowl, mix the butter and brown sugar until creamy.
  3. Add the egg and vanilla extract, blending until smooth.
  4. Slowly incorporate the flour, salt, and baking soda until fully integrated.
  5. Gently knead the chocolate chips into the dough.
  6. Refrigerate the dough for at least 1 hour (overnight for best results).
  7. Divide the dough into 16 equal pieces and shape them into balls.
  8. Prepare baking sheets, spacing the cookies apart, and sprinkle extra chocolate chips on top.
  9. Bake for 12-14 minutes until golden brown but slightly soft in the middle.
  10. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.

Notes

Chill the dough longer for a thicker cookie. Use room temperature butter for better mixing.
