Ingredients
- 3 ripe bananas
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- A pinch of salt
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 4×8 inch loaf pan.
- In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth. Stir in the melted butter until well combined.
- Mix in the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract, blending everything together thoroughly.
- Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the mixture, stirring them in.
- Finally, mix in the flour until just incorporated. If you choose to add chocolate chips, now is the time to fold them in gently.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
- Bake for 60-65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let it cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
