Description

A warm and comforting banana bread recipe that’s perfect for sharing with loved ones.

Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 4×8 inch loaf pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth. Stir in the melted butter until well combined.
  3. Mix in the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract, blending everything together thoroughly.
  4. Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the mixture, stirring them in.
  5. Finally, mix in the flour until just incorporated. If you choose to add chocolate chips, now is the time to fold them in gently.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  7. Bake for 60-65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Let it cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For added flavor, consider incorporating walnuts or spices like cinnamon. Store in an airtight container to keep fresh.
