Description

Deliciously fudgy brownies infused with ripe bananas for a sweet twist that banana lovers crave.

Ingredients

  • 3 medium ripe bananas (preferably overripe)
  • 1/2 cup melted butter (or coconut oil for a dairy-free option)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup milk (use almond milk for lactose-free)
  • 1 cup chocolate chips (dark or white optional)
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons butter (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Mash the bananas and fold them into the buttery sugar mixture.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, whisking well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  6. Gently combine the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients until just mixed; add in the chocolate chips.
  7. Pour the batter into the lined baking pan, spreading evenly and smoothing the top.
  8. Melt the additional butter and brush it over the top of the batter.
  9. Bake for about 25-30 minutes, until a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  10. Let the brownies cool in the pan before cutting into squares.

Notes

For added flavor, consider adding nuts or shredded coconut to the batter. Ensure ingredients are at room temperature for better integration.
