Delicious bakery style chocolate chip cookies with a soft, fluffy texture and generous portions of semi-sweet chocolate chips.
Ingredients
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt; set aside.
- In a large bowl, cream the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the vanilla extract and eggs one at a time.
- Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto baking sheets lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden but the centers are still soft.
- Let cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For best results, chill the dough for at least 30 minutes before baking to enhance flavors and prevent spreading.
