Description

Delicious bakery-style chocolate chip cookies with gooey centers and crispy edges, perfect for sharing with family and friends.


Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups chocolate chips


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt; set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time, ensuring they are fully incorporated.
  5. Gradually blend in the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Stir in the chocolate chips.
  7. Drop large spoonfuls of cookie dough onto ungreased baking sheets, about two inches apart.
  8. Bake for 9 to 11 minutes, or until the edges are nicely golden.
  9. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.

Notes

For chewier cookies, bake for slightly less time. You can also chill the dough for better texture.
