Ingredients
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a small bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt; set aside.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, ensuring they are fully incorporated.
- Gradually blend in the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Stir in the chocolate chips.
- Drop large spoonfuls of cookie dough onto ungreased baking sheets, about two inches apart.
- Bake for 9 to 11 minutes, or until the edges are nicely golden.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
Notes
For chewier cookies, bake for slightly less time. You can also chill the dough for better texture.
