A delicious and comforting Bacon and Cheddar Quiche, perfect for gatherings and brunch.
Ingredients
- 6 slices of bacon
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup milk
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 pie crust (store-bought or homemade)
- 1/2 cup chopped onion (optional)
- 1/2 cup chopped bell pepper (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crisp. Remove and drain on paper towels, then crumble.
- Whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
- Place the pie crust in a pie dish and layer the crumbled bacon and shredded cheddar cheese in the bottom.
- Add the chopped onion and bell pepper on top of the cheese, if using.
- Pour the egg mixture over the fillings, ensuring it’s evenly distributed.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the quiche is set and lightly golden on top.
- Allow to cool slightly before slicing and serve warm.
Notes
Let the quiche rest for at least five minutes after baking for easier slicing.
