Ingredients
- 250 g Honey
- 150 g Toasted almonds
- 150 g Toasted hazelnuts
- 100 g Breadcrumbs
- 1 tsp Ground cinnamon
- ½ tsp Ground cloves
- Zest of 1 lemon (optional)
- Powdered sugar (for dusting)
Instructions
- Crush the toasted almonds and hazelnuts into a coarse powder, avoiding a paste.
- In a heavy-bottomed pot, heat the honey on low, stirring until it liquefies and bubbles, about 5 minutes. Add cinnamon and cloves.
- Mix in the crushed nuts, then gradually add breadcrumbs, creating a thick dough.
- Let the mixture cool slightly, then shape into rounds or disks.
- Dust with powdered sugar and let rest for at least 24 hours before serving.
