Description

A delightful and comforting dessert that combines a soft, fluffy texture with a sweet and spicy cinnamon filling.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, combine the milk, melted butter, and eggs.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  5. Spread the batter evenly in the prepared baking dish.
  6. In a small bowl, mix the cinnamon and brown sugar together. Sprinkle this mixture over the batter.
  7. (Optional) Sprinkle chopped nuts on top.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Let it cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm!

Notes

For a richer flavor, consider adding a splash of vanilla extract or substituting part of the flour with whole wheat flour.
