Description

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
  • ½ cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons poppy seeds


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a greased loaf pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  5. Mix in the almond extract thoroughly.
  6. Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, alternating with milk until just combined.
  7. Gently fold in the poppy seeds.
