Description

Delicious and healthy air fryer protein bagels made with cottage cheese, perfect for breakfast.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • Pinch of salt (optional)
  • 1 cup + 2 tablespoons cottage cheese (2% or 4%)
  • 1 egg (optional)
  • Toppings: everything seasoning, poppy seeds, sesame seeds


Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and a pinch of salt.
  2. Create a well in the center and add the cottage cheese, mixing until the dough is chunky.
  3. Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for 1-2 minutes.
  4. Divide the dough into four pieces and roll each into a log, then shape into bagels by connecting the ends.
  5. If using, brush each bagel with egg wash and sprinkle toppings.
  6. Preheat the air fryer to 300°F and prepare the basket.
  7. Place bagels in a single layer in the air fryer and cook for 15-17 minutes.
  8. Check for doneness and adjust cooking time as needed.
  9. Cool for 15 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes
