Ingredients
- Dill pickles (or your preferred pickles)
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cornmeal
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Cooking spray
Instructions
- Start by cutting the dill pickles into thick rounds.
- In a bowl, mix together the flour, cornmeal, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- In another bowl, beat the eggs until well combined.
- Take a pickle slice and dip it into the flour mixture.
- Transfer it to the beaten eggs, allowing excess to drip off.
- Coat the pickle slice with breadcrumbs, ensuring it’s fully covered.
- Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) and spray the basket with cooking spray.
- Arrange the pickle slices in a single layer in the basket.
- Cook for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- Serve with your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
Allow coated pickles to sit for a few minutes before frying for better crunch. Experiment with different spices or pickles for variety.
