Description

Crispy air fryer fried pickles, a healthier twist on a beloved snack, perfect for entertaining or satisfying cravings.

Ingredients

  • Dill pickles (or your preferred pickles)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cornmeal
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Start by cutting the dill pickles into thick rounds.
  2. In a bowl, mix together the flour, cornmeal, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. In another bowl, beat the eggs until well combined.
  4. Take a pickle slice and dip it into the flour mixture.
  5. Transfer it to the beaten eggs, allowing excess to drip off.
  6. Coat the pickle slice with breadcrumbs, ensuring it’s fully covered.
  7. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) and spray the basket with cooking spray.
  8. Arrange the pickle slices in a single layer in the basket.
  9. Cook for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  10. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

Allow coated pickles to sit for a few minutes before frying for better crunch. Experiment with different spices or pickles for variety.
