Description

Discover how to make delicious homemade Air Fryer Beef Jerky with this easy recipe. Learn the secrets to perfecting this flavorful snack today!

Ingredients

  • 454 g thinly sliced beef (such as sirloin steak, round steak)
  • 120 ml Worcestershire sauce
  • 120 ml soy sauce
  • 15 ml honey
  • 1 tsp (5 ml) onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp (3 ml) chili flakes (optional, adjust for desired spice level)

Instructions

  1. Combine the Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, honey, onion powder, and chili flakes in a mixing bowl.
  2. Slice the beef into either strips or squares. Submerge the beef pieces in the marinade, ensuring they are thoroughly coated.
  3. Cover the mixture and refrigerate for at least three hours or overnight.
  4. Take the beef out of the marinade and blot with paper towels to dry.
  5. Arrange the beef pieces in a single layer in the air fryer basket, making sure they don’t overlap.
  6. Set the air fryer to 175°F/80°C and cook the beef for two hours until it is fully dehydrated. Check the jerky, and if it’s not completely dry, continue air frying in 15-20 minute increments until it reaches 160°F/71°C.
  7. Once the jerky is done, let it cool down and then store it in an airtight container.

Notes

  • For a sweeter taste, increase the amount of honey in the marinade.
  • Enhance the savory flavor by adding a dash of fish sauce to the marinade.
  • Achieve a smoky taste by sprinkling smoked paprika on the beef before air frying.
