Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 4 medium potatoes, sliced
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup shredded cheese
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
- Combine the cream of mushroom soup and milk in a mixing bowl.
- Layer half of the sliced potatoes in a greased casserole dish, followed by the cooked beef, and then the remaining potatoes.
- Pour the soup mixture evenly over the casserole, then top with shredded cheese.
- Cover the casserole with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the cheese is bubbly.
Notes
For extra flavor, consider mixing in garlic powder or onion powder with the ground beef. Broil for a few minutes before serving for a crispy cheese topping.
