Description

Delicious and fluffy honey butter rolls ready in just 30 minutes, perfect for any meal.

Ingredients

  • 5 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 2 envelopes active dry yeast
  • ⅓ cup honey
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 large egg
  • 3.54.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 4 tablespoons melted butter, divided
  • 1 tablespoon honey, for glazing

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, melt the butter and milk together until it reaches a temperature between 100-110 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, add the yeast and honey. Carefully pour in the milk mixture. Stir well to combine, and allow this mixture to sit for 5-10 minutes until it becomes foamy.
  3. Using the paddle attachment, add the egg and salt to the yeast mixture. Switch to a dough hook and begin adding flour, one cup at a time. Stop when the dough pulls away from the sides of the bowl and sticks to the dough hook.
  4. Separate the dough into 12 equal portions. Roll them into smooth balls and arrange them in a 9×13 baking dish or on a cookie sheet. Cover the dough balls with a clean kitchen towel and let them rise in a warm place for 10-25 minutes.
  5. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Melt 2 tablespoons of the remaining butter and brush it over the rolls. Bake for 10-12 minutes until they turn lightly golden.
  6. For a finishing touch, melt the last 2 tablespoons of butter and combine them with one tablespoon of honey. Once the rolls are finished baking, brush them with the butter and honey mixture. Serve as desired.

Notes

Ensure milk temperature is correct for optimal yeast activation. Use fresh yeast for best results.
