Description
Soft and buttery dinner rolls that can be prepared in just 30 minutes, perfect for any meal.
Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cups warm water
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons active dry yeast
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 egg
- 3 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
Instructions
- In your stand mixer bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and active dry yeast. Let it proof for about 2-5 minutes until foamy.
- Once the yeast activates, add the vegetable oil, salt, and egg. Mix well.
- Gradually add the all-purpose flour, one cup at a time, until the mixture is combined.
- Let your stand mixer knead the dough for about 4 minutes. The dough will remain soft, so resist the urge to add too much flour.
- Spray your hands with baking spray and shape the dough into 15 individual balls.
- Place the balls in your prepared baking dish and cover with a dish towel.
- Preheat your oven to 375°F. Place the pan on top of the oven to rise while the oven heats.
- Bake the rolls in a preheated oven for about 20 minutes or until the tops turn golden brown.
- After baking, brush the tops with melted butter before serving.
Notes
For a unique flavor, consider adding herbs or garlic powder to the dough.
